As food safety professionals we aim to protect the food supply and remain current on relevant and emerging issues. The food supply is interconnected from farm to fork and globally sourced. The complexity of identifying and managing the hazards in a product commodity and/or process is the responsibility of all food safety professionals. In a world that is constantly changing the best way forward is through partnership, collaboration, and working together with a priority focus on food safety and protecting public health. This field more than ever needs pioneer champions for conducting valuable research, willing to be informed of the science, identifying the hazard(s), and implementing the processes that will obtain the behavior-based food safety integration.
